Please Read the Following Document from the Indiana State Department of Health regarding pools

ISDH Recommendations for Pools

Health and Safety Rules for Pool / Spray Pad Area

  1. No Running
  2. No Horseplay (i.e. pushing, shoving, dunking or dangerous activity)
  3. No Glass or other breakable items are allowed in the pool area.
  4. Diving is allowed in designated areas only.
  5. No Chewing Gum in Pool Area
  6. Toys that could be hazardous may be denied.
  7. No pets
  8. No foul language
  9. No alcohol
  10. No food except in designated areas
  11. No Smoking
  12. Excessive loudness is prohibited
  13. All swimmers must shower prior to entering the pool.
  14. Swimmers may be denied access to the pool if they display evidence of contagious disease or conditions. If a Property Owner or guest has been diagnosed or believes that they have a communicable, infectious disease or open wound they should not use the pool until they have been cleared by medical personnel.
  15. There will be a 10 minute rest period each hour. All swimmers under the age of 18 must be out of the water during this time.
  16. Children over the age of 8 are not allowed to use the zero depth pool or spray pad area.
  17. All accidents must be reported to the lifeguards or staff immediately.
  18. The pool will be closed during storm events when lightning is in the area. The pool will be closed until such time as the storm event has moved a safe distance from the pool.
  19. The pool will be closed when the outside air temp is below 70 degrees Fahrenheit
  20. Children who are still in diapers are required to wear swim pants made specifically for swimming. They shall be worn at all time while in or around the pools and must be disposed of properly.
  21. Swimmers shall wear appropriate swimwear at all times.
  22. Swimmers are required to wear shoes or sandals, a shirt or cover-up, and be dry when visiting the community building / Meeting House.
  23. No radios, stereos, or boom boxes are allowed without permission of the staff or head lifeguard. These devices are allowed with headphone usage.
  24. Pool furniture must remain on the pool deck.
  25. Please help keep the pool area and rest rooms clean. Properly dispose of all trash in the appropriate receptacles.
  26. Mechanical areas are off limits.
  27. Lifeguards will enforce all rules and take any disciplinary actions deemed appropriate. Infractions will be reported to the Stonegate Staff. Aquatic Staff are not responsible for lost, misplaced or unattended items.

Birthday Parties and Other Celebrations

(2 per day with a 3 hour limit each)

Members planning to hold a party or gathering at the pool must obtain a “Stonegate Rental Agreement for Aquatic Center Activities” form from the Stonegate POA Business Office. The forms must be completed and returned to the POA business office or Event Manager along with any appropriate fees and/or deposits at the time of reservation. No deposits will be refunded due to a cancellation less than 2 weeks prior to the event. Refunds will be made for in climate weather that forces the event to be cancelled. In climate weather would be temperatures less than 70 degrees Fahrenheit or Lightning in the area. Party or Celebration requests are at the discretion of the POA and may be denied if the facility is heavily scheduled. Exclusive use of the Aquatic Center will only be allowed during hours when the pool would not normally be open. The following rules apply:

  • Property Owners should present a guest list to the pool staff so that guests can be signed in and admitted.
  • The property owner must pay for all non-member guests at the rate of $5.00 per guest.
  • Chaperones are required for each event. One chaperone will be required per eight swimmers under the age of 8. (i.e. up to 8 children = 1 adult, 9-16 children = 2 adults, 17 – 24 children)
  • Please plan to end parties 30 minutes prior to pool closing to provide time for clean-up. Property Owner shall be responsible for clean-up prior to leaving and supplying all janitorial supplies needed.
  • Pool may be used for special events during normal hours.
  • Exclusive use of the pool for events by individual homeowners is only available during hours which do not coincide with the normal posted pool hours.

Pool Season

Weather and Staffing Permitting, the Stonegate Pool Season will be Memorial Day Weekend Saturday through Labor Day Weekend Monday.

Pool Hours

  • School Days (Mon-Fri) 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM
  • Non School Days (Mon-Thur) 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM
  • Non School Days (Fri) 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM
  • Weekends/Holidays (Sat) 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM  (Sun) 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Pool Guests

The pool at Stonegate is for the primary use of Stonegate Property Owners and their registered guests. All guests must be accompanied by a property owner when visiting the pool. All members and guests must use their issued pass card/code when entering the pool.
Property Owners are allowed up to 2 guests free of charge. Property Owners over the guest limit are required to pre-pay of $5.00 for each guest over the 2 guest limit that visits the pool. Guest passes must be purchased in advance at the Business / POA office. No payment will be accepted at the pool. Cash and or check is the only means of payment accepted. Checks shall be made payable to Stonegate POA.

Non-parent caregivers, over the age of 18, may bring children of a member to the pool at anytime without charge, however, the Property Owner must obtain and sign a Permission Slip or Baby Sitter Pass prior to their visit. Permission Slips / Baby Sitter Passes are available at the Business / POA Office.

Stonegate wants your visit to the community pool to be enjoyable. Pool staff and the management have the right to deny access to the pool to both Property Owners and their guests. When Property Owners come to the pool they will be required to “sign-in” or use their assigned access card/code. Additionally, Property Owners that “sign-in” must identify how many children are attending and the names of all guests.

Supervision of Children in Pool Area

Children who do not swim are to be supervised primarily by the accompanying parent or care giver. Children under the age of eight using the wading pool or spray pad must be directly supervised by an adult or caregiver at all times.

All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a caregiver or adult while at the pool. Additionally, all children between the ages of 12 – 17 must be accompanied and supervised by a caregiver or adult while at the pool. Exceptions will be allowed for children between the ages of 12-17 years of age that have a completed “Stonegate Pool Permission Slip” on file with the Stonegate POA office. Forms must be signed by Parent or Legal Guardian in the presence of Staff.
